Our Staff

Balmy Beach Community Day Care Centre is committed to hiring qualified Registered Early Childhood Education (RECE) professionals and experienced Childcare Assistants with current First Aid/CPR certificates, Food Handler certificates and Police Reference Checks.

Ongoing professional development is required by the College of Early Childhood Educators and is encouraged by the Centre.

As a part of community outreach, our dedicated team of staff mentor student teachers. The students come from local Colleges, Universities and high school co-ops.

Ratio of Staff to Children

We provide a ratio of one teacher to eight children (1:8) in the Preschool group; one teacher to 13 children (1:13) in the FDK/B&A group and a ratio of one teacher to 15 (1:15) in School Age, with additional support as needed.
